POSITION:     Transportation/ Maintenance Worker

LOCATION:     Head Start Centers – Concho and Canton

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:  The Transportation/Maintenance Worker is under the supervision of the Center Supervisor/Director and provides routine Center building maintenance and routine maintenance on Center vehicles.

DUTIES:
Mowing, edging, watering and fertilizing;  Disposing of all trash;  Providing custodial and janitorial service to the Head Start Center;  Conducting routine maintenance on classroom furniture and equipment;  Scheduling and coordinating routine maintenance for Center vehicles;  Scheduling and preparing for annual inspections i.e. fire, DHS, etc;  Any additional duties as assigned by Center Supervisor/Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED certification required;
• Vocational certifications in Auto Mechanic/Building Maintenance or experience in related field;
• Must have valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and reliable transportation;
• Physical exam, TB skin test is required; must pass O.S.B.I. record check.
• Native American preference.

SALARY:   Negotiable
