DUTIES: Under the supervision of Construction Manager,
Incumbent is responsible for diagnosis and evaluation of, water/wastewater and
public facilities within economic development’s specific projects, new or
renovated facilities. Operates heavy equipment in evaluating and repair of
water/wastewater project facilities. Performs minor repairs, determines when
contract work is required and makes arrangement for specific corrective
services. Provides oversight of contract work; maintains log of public
facilities’ repair and upgrades as appropriate. Maintains set of utilities
drawings, as builts, etc.
Incumbent drives trucks, tractors, scraper units, bull
dozer, etc. in the loading, transporting and/or distribution of
equipment/machinery from one job location to another as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have a
High School Diploma or GED certification is required
- Must
be physically able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
- Stand,
stoop, and work in confined areas and in a variety of weather.
- Must
pass pre-hire drug screen
- Possess
valid CDL license
- At
least 3 years related work experience and/or certification
