Indian Child Welfare Program

Vision Statement:

“The Department of Social Services encompasses that are focused upon alleviating various social problems that afflict the tribal community through intervention and prevention program services. The goal herein is to promote health, general welfare, stability and safety of the family unit as defined within and by individual choices.

The Department offers a wide array of program and services to meet this mission in different capacities. Some of the established programs offer services to counter addiction, domestic violence, financial crises, child and adult protective needs and basic life needs: shelter, food, and medical needs. The Department’s commitment to the target population will also include any future grant opportunities and thus, awards that share and promote these same goals of health, welfare, stability and safety of the families and individuals.”
