POSITION: ICW Prevention Caseworker
LOCATION: Social Services Department, Concho , OK

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: The incumbent focuses on the maintenance of the family unit through the use of prevention measures both on the community level and individual family/client level. This task will include individual case management of assigned cases. Other prevention will include the responsibility of community prevention work. This may include: community education through: attendance/participation in other community activities, formulation and distribution of pamphlets/brochures regarding an issue that potentially affects communities that then filter down to Individual family units.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABLITILIES REQUIRED:
- Ability to perform quality, competent case management duties and all responsibilities therein.
- Skilled in community organizational planning
- Ability to plan for individual cases and on community level
- Ability to present cases at staffing meetings for maximum benefit
- Knowledge of all relevant Confidentiality and Privacy laws and regulations on the Federal and tribal level.
- Knowledge of a wide array of dysfunctional behaviors and social problems in order to plan prevention services and activities accordingly for assigned individual cases and for communities or large groups
- Research abilities to keep abreast of new trends, treatment, etc in issues that affect the target population
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. This includes group facilitation.
- Accept other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required in a related field whose curriculum meets the KSA’s above. A substitution of education and experience may be made. Must demonstrate specialized experience according to KSA’s above.
- Ability to perform necessary duties after normal business hours, if necessary
- Valid State Driver’s License
- Willingness and ability to pass successfully a Background Check which proves fitness of character for position and pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens according to establish tribal policies.
- Cheyenne-Arapaho preference
