POSITION: Associate Judge of the Tribal Court

QUALIFICATIONS OF ASSOCIATE JUDGE OF THE TRIBAL COURT
The Constitution of the Cheyenne-Arapaho Tribes, adopted April 4, 2006 provided for a Chief Judge, Associate Judge and other Associate Judges (Special Judges) in the Judicial Branch. All judges shall serve a four year term in office. Minimum qualifications for the Associate Judge position:
- Possess a law degree and be a member of a bar association as well as a member of the Cheyenne-Arapaho Bar Association.
- Possess knowledge of Indian Law.
- Pass background check with no felony convictions.
- Demonstrate moral integrity and fairness in his/her business, public and private life.
All Judges are nominated by the Governor, confirmed by the Legislature and approved by the Tribal Council. Compensation is negotiable.
